I think it will depend on where your DRL's are (not sure). My truck was originally destined for Canada, so had DRL's standard. I live in the states and have removed the DRL module from the passenger side dash console. I don't mind having lights on all the time, but I work on a military installation and 2002 Ford DRL's cannot be dimmed. Other models have the DRL's located on the driver's side in the engine compartment. I have no idea how much that affects the wiring harness at the control ****.

If your driving with your highbeams on, wouldn't it be a safe assumption that there's no one else on the road ( in front of you ) for your lights to bother therefore why should a cop care if your fogs are on also!

If you need your fog lights on, why on earth would you have your high beams too?

When your high beams are on there is usually a darker patch of missing light right in front of the vehicle usually due to high beams being aimed higher. the fogs just compliment the highs by filling in that slightly darker area. not a necessity, just nicer.

I was being a smarty pants. You should see the amount of people here who try to use high beams in fog. And they wonder why they can't see.

Nitewolf did you take your light switch assembly apart and cut the white collar as shown in the example?

so your fog lights come on automatically when you turn your parking lights on?
you don't have the option of them being on when you want them to be?
