so on my 98, I've got the ramp filed down, and the wires I have to splice are the w/blk and the brown?

That's how mine is. I think, either brown or yellow

Yes brown wire with black and white wire. Splice those together and youre done.

how do i do this so that my fogs arent on all the time and how do i keep them on with the brights?

To have the option to turn them on with parking lights you'll have to file down the ramp. I ran it with just those 2 wires spliced for a while. Probably wouldn't have tore the switch apart if I wasn't doing a LED swap.

So I have a problem. I have a 2002 super crew with factory DRL's now I pulled the DRL's fuse to dIsabel it but that also disabled the fog lights. I have filed down the ramp and tried both options for splicing but can not get the fog lights to work. Please someone help me with this problem.

Your actual DRL relay is under the passenger side dash board. I dont have auto lights, but you will have a relay block where my plug is on the left.
The yellow points to where your DRL block will be. The red one points to the loop back plug you need to disable them (and remove relay block).


To disable DRL's you only need that look back plug

Here is the only wire you need to loop back

Here is some info for fogs/parking etc
