Default First gear top speed

Ok so I did a WOT 0-45 run today with my MPT 93 tune and I hit the rev limiter around 40 mph. So is this the 1-2 shift or 2-3 shift? Which one should I lower? I originally thought it was the 1-2 shift but that seemed pretty fast to be in first gear. I also had my rev limit set at 5000 so I upped it to 5100. Here's the video

That seemed to stay in the same gear and since it looked like you started from a stop I'd say first gear the whole way

Yeah that's what I was thinking to 40 mph just seamed high for 1st. I lowered it downed to 38 mph so hopefully that helps. When it first happened I about crapped my pants but then I realized how high my rpms were haha

Yeah I guess so haha I don't go WOT much but when I do I would rather not hit the rev limiter. I wish MPT let you set it by the exact mph, not +1, +2, +3, - 1, -2, - 3. So right now i have my 1-2 at - 2 mph, my 2-3 at - 1 mph, and my 3-4 at 0 mph. Hopefully that fixes the issue.

I have an x3 so maybe the new x4 is a little more user friendly in that department.

I think 43 is about the highest you want. I believe my tune is set to shift at 40ish.

Make sure your tuner accounts for your gear ratio and revs per mile on your tires so it truely shifts at the desired point and doesn't over-rev your engine. The tune should protect you from revving to high.

Edit: after watching the video it seems normal to me. I've hit slightly higher RPM's at the track and it seemed fine.

Ok awesome thanks! What is a good rpm to see the limiter at? It's at 5100 right now
