This shows the 7 and 8 pin connectors, so this is perfect for the Escape radio.
Below is for adding to your regular trucks' harness. You need these two harnesses to make it hook up correctly. The color match, so you just have to attach them together. Solder and shrink tube is the preferred way, but to each their own on that.

The second picture's harness plug attaches to the first picture's plugs. They fit together nicely, and the two plugs go to the radio side, and the single plug to the trucks harness. Simple, basically solder and plug and play.

Looks the only think I will need is the 70-1771. Everything should be there from the pics he provided.
I'll be pulling the buttons and repainting the faceplate unless i can find a replacement.
Now to figure out a usb or 3.5mm aux input.

That is exactly what you need. Perfect find. How much did he want for his setup? Just curious. Looks like you have located what you need and you can see the picture of the screen, which is exactly like the one i have. Glad you found a good unit. Good luck.
Looking at your pictures, I see that they are using the #6 pin on the top radio plug in. That is another ground, and I mentioned I didn't use it, but I believe we should use that ground. Currently I'm using the ground of the antenna for the radio, like most aftermarket radios use.

$90 shipped for all. Looks like I'll need a $10 plug and $10 Midwest maps cd-Rom. I'm ready to pay this guy and get it in before my work trip in two weeks. Gotta join some escape forums
Wait you are talking about the radio antenna as a ground not the gps antenna right?

Yes to using of the blue as your harness that you make up. Yes for the picture and the one below it for the amp please. Thanks for the 1st pic blow up. The purple and orange circles are for the amp and audio controls. These are the ones that need to be kept to add swc's and if you want to add in an additional amp.

And btw does you truck say "hybrid" everytime you turn it on?
Also, can you only download one "file" of maps programs at a time?

What's the chance of the expedition Navi working? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=271495449826 The plugs look the exact same as well as the dimensions. The top is the Expedition Unit and the bottom is the escape Unit
