Default F150 Makeover

What's up guys. I'm currently in training for the Army and will be getting out in a few weeks and was wanting to get stuff ordered for my '98 Ext. cab 2wd F150. I've had 4 lifted Silverado's in the past couple years and decided to lift the F150 but not sure what I want to do. I'd like to do a very mild prerunner/socal setup. Is a spindle lift a good choice? Also, what size tires do ya'll run with a 3.5"-4" setup and what's a good setup for the rear end? I don't want to go all out but still want decent function.- Do they make headers for the 4.6 F150? Pictures would be helpful also!

What do you guys think of these kits? I'm not havin much luck findin anything else. The 5.5" looks decent. I don't plan on being very rough on the truck either.

Headers are illegal for smog in CA or else I would already have some on my truck and Mustang. That said, a good locker/limited slip differential will do wonders for a prerunner, probably more along the lines of a limited slip since it sounds like you will be bruising the pavement more than the trails. What are your current rear end gears, and what kind of tires do you have. A good on/off road AT (I recommend the Yokohama AT-s tires) would do wonders for traction on all surfaces.

Good luck with the project.

Limited slip will come soon enough. Just wantin to get a lift and tire setup as of right now. The truck is registered in Missouri so headers are fine to install. My current setup is bone stock besides a JLT CAI. I'm leanin torwards the 5.5" kit but would 305/75/16's be to big? I wouldn't mind addin a 2" BL if needed also. My tire of choice would be a BFG AT or Pro Comp AT setup with 16x8 Rock Crawlers. Here's a few pics.

And for the Chevy haters, my main toy.
