Default F150 heater core cheap fix

OK...How's about this.. Instead of going through 800-1000 bucks to replace the heater core, in the F150 how about replumbing the hoses to bypass the core and use an electric heater (maybe two) strategically located to get heat.??? Why not???

you got to pull the whole dash out and use a motor hoist to hold it over the front seats to get it done without removing steeringwheel and all that

I have a 20 mile drive to work. The cost of extension cords to reach that far would probably be more than a new heater core.
