I went and got them put on today. The guy at the shop put them on today and told me that's he couldn't run true duals because the truck has an O2 sensor that would have to be cut out. Im not sure what I ended up with. It sounds good, but it's not as loud as I wanted. It was cheaper though. It cost me $283 for the setup.

??? Where are you having the duals ran from? I have 2 sets of 02 sensors and duals ran just fine. The only time it matters is if your taking cats off. Which is really pointless. So...you don't know what setup you have?

I just had my system redone with a custom Y 2-2.5 into a 3" single all the way back and it was like 700-800 bucks with everything installed. for the 2.5 true duals it was like 900 all done but the guy said I may have problems with it throwing out codes. If you got it done for less than 300 what type of pipe did he use? You can have him put a new O2 bung in so it will still work.

What you have in mind is perfect IMO. I have True Duals with cats, running through X-pipe. 3 inch pipes, 45 degrees side exit. I love it.

Was it stainless? That's what that was priced out as and it was installed fully welded.
