Default Exhaust ideas..

I'm 16 and my dad gave me his 97 F150 5.4 4x4. I'm looking to put some pipes on it. I thought about putting true dual straight pipes with 3 inch tubing and 5 inch tips cut at a 45 degree angle. I was also considering having the rear two cats deleted. I was hoping someone could give me some insight on this. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

3inch is too big IMO. Go 2,5 with hi flow cats and what tips, mufflers you want! I like the 5inch tip 45 angle Idea

What type of pipe would I need? I don't know very much about exhausts.

Throw in an X-pipe or H-Pipe.

My local exhaust shop quoted me $325. I'm getting them put on Friday.
