I see it has a K&N air intake, whatever that is. . . appears to be more efficient? I wiped down the tires and see the are "TRAILCUTTER" 315/75R/16. He told me that the transmission has 100K on it and the engine has 160K, possibly dubious.
The exhausts are straight pipes and exceedingly loud but he said not glass-packs, however I looked and it did.
The truck has a 5" lift; I also see an Optima battery. Nice FORD bed-liner. Fancy taillights and headlights. Taillights will need changed as on has a cover a bit mangled.
There may be other things but I am too ignorant to relate them at this point. He mentioned something about the "arms", I think.
No. I don't 'need' to. i don't even 'want' to, it performs well even if dirty. Will clean and call it good. The truck is DAMN strong for what it is. Not mega-truck 8 million dollar modifications strong but all I want and more than I need. Old truck has some tough miles and it's battered a bit BUT VERY MUCH UNBOWED, like it's owner.

Looks like it's in good shape. I can tell by the bottom of the doors the body isn't bad, - definitely dubious lol. What usually rusts first is the lower bed panel behind the rear tire (from the inside out) and the rocker bottoms under the cab. But yea, looks like a good deal for 3 grand.
It has a throttle body spacer, you can get rid of that, perhaps in the future if/when you decide to clean up the throttle body. No big deal, not hurting anything, but not doing a damn thing just the same.
It would be good for that truck if you found a factory CAI filter box (on ebay or whatnot) and replaced just the end of the air intake. Still use the K&N pipe, but those filters don't stop much. They also screw up the MAF sensor and contaminate the throttle body and elbow.
Might want to do something with the inner wheel well guards. They probably fell off, -they do that. Once they do, the engine compartment gets trashed and you could smoke a coil if you hit a good size puddle.

Okay, so I should grab a CIA filter box, 10-4. Please point out throttle body spaces and I'll ****-can it. Inner wheel well guards, roger that. Will have to first see what they LOOKED like

If yours are missing (bet they are) you can't purchase these separately, but you do better making your own. Push pins can usually be found at a third party parts house cheap.
You can use a tractor trailer mud flap, - found at farm store for the guards themselves. Just cut what you need from that.
Your engine compartment will stay clean. Not the best pic for example, but this one has over 300,000 miles on it and I haven't had to clean the engine compartment since 08, -

That's just one example I pulled up real quick, there's better deals than that one.
Skirting will be needed, you are correct. It soes not extend as far as yours and it appears maybe a holes for plasdtic pins are vacant. Wiped off the motor area a bit but did not break out a water hose or any such. Just wiped the dust away halfasst. . .

Yea, the engine compartment doesn't enjoy a bath all that well, things can go wrong. It's like a big dog during it's first bath..with rigor mortis.
The plug chambers fill with water, in turn , short out the coils. If you do pressure wash it or whatnot try to stay away from the coils and plug chambers. If you have an air compressor, blow out the plug chambers before attempting to restart, - also any other electronic connectors that got wet.
Brembo Rotors, GREAT! You'll like them. You'll need brake lines, one at each front wheel at the very least. Unless you have newer lines on there ? Chances are they're the originals. These aren't very good from the factory either, they break down inside and blow up like balloon vs stopping the truck when needed. Plus these are twin piston systems, they need that flow or they work unevenly which is no good. Yea, the system design is good on these trucks, it's just that the factory used some cheap hardware for it.
