This thread is going to show an in depth restoration of a 2000 F150 XLT, extend cab, step side, 4.6, auto with 164k miles. I bought it in October 2013 and the body/exterior/interior/engine and trans was in good condition.....
However, the underside was in pretty rough shape from 13 salty winters and a lack of care from the PO.

I'll try to keep the text to a minimum but deliver lots of pics to feast your eyes on. I should be able to update daily, that way it's not a dead thread that only pops to the top once in awhile.... should be something new and interesting each time you log on.

Cycle For Fun and Health
Nice start.
My last truck was a 2000, 5.4, Super Cab XLT, 4X4. A great truck and the only issues I ever had was one set of plugs and one alternator in 130,000 miles.
Unfortunately, the frame and underside was much worse than yours from the Michigan and Ohio winter salt.
So, I got rid of it and got a used but unsalted 2004 that will last me numerous more years.
Good luck on your restoration and keep the photos coming. Looking good.

The teaser picture is what mine is shaping into. As far as wanting to see an f150 taken apart and put back together....I didn't plan on seeing that until my truck decided to take itself apart lol.
