The COP's I'm using are the MC DG-508's.

So new o-ring on the water outlet tube will do the trick. Where doe that go, to the heater core?
Yes the injectors will work.

Coils are fine. Just need the harness to plug them in.

Rubber hoses attach to it at the back of the intake. There's a bracket that holds it in place. You'll know it when you pull the intake off.

It will add a bit more fuel to the trims to get an efficient A/f ratio right? The o2 sensors will feed back and correct mixture as needed. So I've been told by a guy that says his works fine Out of touch with him now though darn-it, that's why I'm here now.
Fuel trim will be adjusted with the new tune. No worries there.

My OE 5.4L has the COP's on each cylinder, just replace another one a while back. I'm pretty sure I'll be needing new cats too. I can get Flowmasters cat with y-pipe OE fit for around $600.00 for both sections from RA. I'm not looking for a race car here, just a nice boost in hp from what I previously had with the 98' npi and another dependable 100k or more out of the truck.
Im not sure about the edge settings but a good tune from mpt would have you ready to run with the egr delete and any other changes you may need to make along the way. I think they can tune it but I would shoot them an email to be sure.

The OE harness will work with the OE coils and OE injectors. I shouldn't have to get another harness right?

Why would I have to delete the EGR?

Who is and how would I get a tune from mpt? Mail in the 98' pcm? Or is there another onboard tune that I can do myself like Edge or SCT? I like having the Edge Evol., it lets me monitor all the engine parameters, adjust the tranny shift points, and read and delete engine diagnosis codes. To be clearer, what I want to do is just replace the block, heads and intake assembly from 98', install the same from newer 03' and reinstall all the electronics running off the OE pcm, OE fuel injectors, OE COP ignition. The seemingly only real big difference is that the engine will have higher compression and better flow characteristics than the older OE 5.4. There may be a few items like the knock sensor or coolant temp sensor plugs and position that need splicing/modifying to get it running, and then find someone or way to tune it better to the 03' parameters or close so I can take advantage of the extra PI hp. I just want to know if anyone out there has done this swap. It's the details that I need to know so as to order the right parts: seals, gaskets etc..... and anything else I should know?

The x4 is pretty sweet with the touch screen and is probably the best in the market. Talk to Franchimotorosports

You talking SCT X4? Not a touch screen, but a colored one. It is very nice & easy to use. And the programmability is 2nd to none. That's why custom tuners love them. I own one.

The Livewire TS P/N: 5015 is the touch screen model. Mounts to the dash or windshield & functions as a set of gauges also. Its veddy veddy nice. The X4 P/N 7015 is a color non-touch display. Its about $200 less than the Livewire. But has all the tuning capabilities.

I had not heard back from this Frachi? Also somehow my instant email notification stopped working?

There are EGR tube adapters available, just found out Googling: http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/199...connector.html

I guess I can make either year EGR tube work then?
