Default Engine swap in a 97 f150

Hey guys ive got a 97 f150 4x4. i swapped the engine twice due to getting bad ones from salvage yards. I have been managing to get it out buy barely fitting it between to firewall and the front of the engine bay. It is a very aggravating proccess does anyone have any tips to make this easier?

Only other thing you can do is remove the cab. But yeah, it's a squeeze! I stick an appropriate sized piece of ply - wood between the condensor & the motor to protect it.
