Unhappy Engine running rough!!

I got a 97 4.2 v6 2 wd f 150.

Replaced the cats got them switched from 4 to 2.
New coil pack spark plugs wires.

Air filter is good got exxon premium gasoline.

I drive it and its like really rough, I go up a big bridge every day and it just struggles to get any power while I'm on it.

I'm not very mechanically inclined and don't have money to take it somewhere.

I did notice tho when I changed the sparks, spark plug number 1 was burnt to black.

I changed them again and its better but still runs rough.

Anybody got any ideas for me? Would be very appreciated thank you.

Oh also its starting to squeal but only when I shut the engine off .

I've read up on a vaccuum leak but man I don't even know where to begin in that area.

Please help!

Don't run premium gas. Only 87 octane. Go back to where you see all the threads. Look at the thread rapid decrease in gas mileage. Go to the last page and you can see where I explain why its not good to run premium on a stock engine.

And my pickup was running a little rough and I ran sea foam in it and it helped out. There are people that say that it will mess your truck up worse and there are people that use it in every engine they own.

On the gasoline part I just put the supreme in thinking maybe I got a bad load of gas when I put some in the trip before. Supreme wise I didn't put much in only like 15 bucks but I usually use regular.

Very nice man. I didn't think the v6 has coil packs? I thought it was cap and rotor and plugs and wires?

Yea I've just about tried all the wear and tear items I can think of.

Maybe the fuel filter? Just hope it doesn't go into the really technical stuff id be so f-ed then

Well the truck when I got it was parked for like 2 months.

The coolant tank I noticed had some rust residue inside of it.

I did a radiator flush and it was like muddy brown for a while eventually cleared up.

Now I notice the tank has it building up again.

Btw thanks for the help bro

Well I'm pretty sure your v6 has cap and rotor and plugs and wires. If so you might wanna change out the cap and rotor if you have already got new plugs and wires. And you have a loss in power? Fuel filter could be a factor. You got the money to change it then I would then you know it's not that. How many miles you have on the motor?
