If I'm not mistaken a 4.6 mustang of that year brand new was only puttin out 230 crank, and I'm sure they had slightly more than the f150 blower would work, and the 4.6s handle low boost pretty well at least from what I've read on mustang forum. If you want 300 I'd go that route

noo not 300 rwhp. i was thinking 300 at the engine. stock i think they be 240. and the mustang was260 at the crank way back in 2003. come along way both in the truck and the mustang. nearly double the power and better fuel economy in both lol.

but yah. sounds like from what everyone is saying, my options are a blower or an engine swap. maybe one day down the road ill do the swap. and i don't see myself spending vortech or kenne bell money on a 2003 f150 (more money in the blower than in the whole truck lol).

FWIW, the lower end of that motor isn't terrible, but if you're worried about it, it's just cams. The 4.2L to 4.6 Mark VIII swap is a 2wd that looks like he's going more street performance than "truck performance." He lowered the truck 7" already
