My engine has developed a slight miss at speeds around 50 usually going uphill. 97 4.6 265000mi. Any suggestions

265K on the clock, just love to hear about the longevity of our trucks. Eventually the PCM will throw a code. How many miles on the plugs and is this 4.6 a coil on plug engine or the original plug wire type. I have the old system on my 4.2L.

tune up time, swap plugs and wires. sometimes the pcm won't throw a code if it is a random intermittent misfire. more likely to throw a code if the miss is constant.
