Let's settle it lol.
He started are 8" which is normally the lowest most sas swaps on our trucks can go.
Then he did some fabrication wizardry and brought it down around 5"

I'd do a sas in a heartbeat if I truly thought I'd have this truck till I died. The amount of work I'd have into it or money it would cost to have someone else do it, would not be worth it. Buying a bigger truck would have more value for me..

I'm really hard on my truck but so far it's kept up to the tasks.

It's like any aging vehicle..pretty soon these will be the 70's trucks we know today. They will be modded here and there but for the most part majority will move on. That said, there are two cars I wish I would have kept that I plan on getting back eventually because of the personal attachment/memories.

What are those? I still have my b2 that I want to v8 swap and SAS in my wildest dreams but my drop everything truck would be a clean classic 302 bronco.

I have 2 of those cars as well, X-body Nova and an early SN95 preferably 96-98 Cobra.

My mustang was my race and show car, the Nova's were my first Hotrods. I'm honestly at a crossroads in my life where I need to decide if I'm going to build another street/race car that's fast or go back to my roots and build something classic.

The one thing I hated about my last Mustang was it was always a competition to be faster. It didn't matter if it was my best friend or strangers on the street. I'm too old to be street racing and acting a fool with my money and life.

One of my oldest friends had a '57 Ford Custom 300 that I absolutely loved as well. We were poor grunts at the time so neither of us had the financial ability we have today. It wouldn't be 10 seconds fast but it sure would be loud and pretty.

..ramblings of a car guy.

Yep, I owned a 98 chrome yellow cobra and I'd like that with a 5.0 swap. also my 91 mustang GT..It was a complete loss when I sold it to a friend before being deployed. He was t-boned by an elderly woman. Passenger side was smashed in and he tried to have it pulled out because I was planning on buying it back from him when I returned home. Just way too much work. But he knew how much I liked it and I thought that was pretty cool he at least tried.
I always wanted to put the push rod boss 5.0 block that could be stroked to 365ci in That 91. That would be a fun street car. Never had the funds in my younger years for that.
But yeah I hear ya ..some day
