Let me drive your vehicle, I betcha I can blow that sucker lol

So do you just spray down the gasket with it prior to installing?

Spray both sides and let it sit about 5 minutes before installing.

Started the truck up last night. Ran good for a couple minutes. Had an oil leak, not sure from where... And then bam, coolant blew out from the head in the same spot.

I'm throwing in the towel and taking it to a shop.

That sucks, - the added time and expense ...well I guess I don't need to tell you. Something has to be wrong with the grind IMO.

The shop your having work on it now, - did they have anything to do with heads or decking in the past ?

I'm still working on the body, the engine (fun stuff) I'm saving for last. Sticking with the 2V, - can't wait for that!

No they didn't do anything with the machine work.

Probably be at most, 3k to get it fixed, but I really don't have any other choice.

This was the shop that sold me the engine originally who had found a problem with the timing. He remembers some guys trying to fix it and instead of digging all the timing pieces out and redoing it, he just threw a junkyard engine in it.

Instead of fixing/replacing the timing components in the original, they opted for another junkyard block ? Really, - or am I misunderstanding?

I think that's what he told me.

Yeah didn't make a lot of sense to me either but that's how I got a 4v with timing guides and arms in the oil pan lol
