Exhaust manifolds go on tomorrow. had to take off the intake twice today to fix some stuff so didn't get as far as I'd like. Top end is all buttoned up though!

Lol that pretty much sums up the whole project. Things happen and stuff gets pushed back.
If I can get the manifolds on without too much trouble I'll try to start it up.
Anything I should do first before firing it up?

If the injectors have been dry for awhile, might want to go ahead and connect a fuel pressure gauge to the rail. Since most gauges have a purge button, you can hit that button and you'll know once the air is purged to the rail. Sometimes it can take awhile to purge on it's own thru the return, - so don't be discouraged if she don't fire too quickly, - specially if everything was pop corn fart dry. Anyway, that button can speed things up a bit.
Also, several key on states can assist in purging. You just don't want to crank for more than 4 seconds straight. After 4 seconds, the rail is disabled momentarily, until you key off.

I always crank the engine over by hand or pull the fuel pump fuse and crank for just a little to get some oil flowing through the engine at the right pressure. Then i usually prime the fuel pump a few times and prey that it starts lol. Oh i always leave my coolant overflow caps off to so the cooling system can burp itself.
Not saying that's exactly what needs to be done... But it's what i always do!
