Mine was leaking at some point, I got away with using a nylon gasket and QuickStix Blue (Loctite Chap-Stix thread sealer...good stuff).
Very true. Only thing I don't like about an insert in the oil pan is that it will protrude into the pan and you'll never be able to drain all the oil out. Albeit there won't be much left in there but I like to get out as much as possible. Another reason I always change my oil while the motor is warm. Thinner oil drains better.

Right! That's why I posted this in my last, -

Yea, it can't trap, so no reveal. Mainly because it'll cause build-up of foreign matter (debris) that may possibly get kicked up enough to run thru the pump again. That's not good for sure.

Figured you guys would know best. Would this pan heater work sufficiently for cold weather? Also is this a safe way of keeping it heated? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=221347937397

There's an adhesive 800W pan heater from "tempco" I believe. It's a name brand and supposed to be decent

I was so excited. Came back to my apt on my split to see a mishimoto box at my door. I always enter giveaways and drawings when I see them-especially when they are automotive related. Unfortunately it was my L rad shroud that got shipped in a repurposed box
Oh well, atleast 1 step closer

Lol that sucks.

Just to update you guys. I won't be doing my engine swap next week unless I get the title before then. Still haven't got plates on this or even received the title yet from the state so until that happens I'll be holding off on the swap. Would hate for something to happen with the title and already have the truck torn apart.

Good thinking. I would let my lack of patience get the best of me.
