Yeap, glad you said "extensions" in the plural forum. A good set of swivels and 14-18" of extension is usually necessary to un-torque the tranny to motor bolts. It def makes things easier.

The top two transfer case bolts can be pesky too. Hard to get a 3/8" ratchet up there without any swivels.

I left my transfer case attached to the tranny. Pulled it all out as one unit. Was easier for me.

If you have the exhaust out of the way it's 1000000 times easier.

4x4dave, remember to lube the driveshaft before reinstall, the yoke that goes into the trans. Will save you from doing it later. Grease it up real good.

You need to add an exponent to that. LoL. 4x4dave, I did have my exhaust, torsion bars & cross member removed when I did mine. Was installing new engine & lift. You may find it easier to separate the T-Case as ibd2328 suggested.

I didnt really think of that. Mines rated at 9,200 I think and with my chassis I don't need to pull anymore than that. I just want solid reliable power to easily pull 6,000 regularly.

And for everyone on lightningrodder regularly, 4x4dave MyFX4Project
Keep an eye out for cheap used L parts if you can.
