Plan on having my swap done first week of March. Weather should be decent by then and the only thing I'm waiting on is that harness from ibd2328

As it cures it will separate..smashed or not with that type of setting/application. That's why you don't use silicon with existing anyway. Has to be as one and cure as one. Can't be patched with same. It's also picky with many applications,- has to be contamination free when setting in place...all surfaces, in order to cure leak-free.
But hey, not everything follows the rules of science, it may surprise and work against those odds. So I wouldn't touch until it proves a fail.

Damn,we may finish within a week or so of each other.
I give you more credit though, you aren't having a shop do it lol. I just don't have the time, place or tools to do it. Plus my dad said he won't haul my truck all the way down here,so unless I start pushing I'm sol.

Mines going to take a little longer. Not in time to meet up. Bummed out to hear you guys were having the meet so soon. Mine won't be ready, - unless I hire someone to paint it and do the finish work maybe. But I just can't trust it $#$$$@#!! Wish I could sometimes.

Right! seen to many bad paint jobs lol. Doing that correctly, the preparation is most important and time consuming as hell. Most, with a good eye, don't have that sort of time it takes to be competitive in the business. That's extremly important is the restoration field. Shooting it, - yes there's a knack. But allot of it is just experience. Knowing people that have these items is a huge short-cut for those learning. Hell, I had a personal trainer on the net lol, - just worked out that way. Lucky! The shops been set up for it for awhile now, - well the best it can be. - I should say it's outfitted now....Don't have tuh cut corners .
