I want to swap to a rear that has disc brakes and 14 mm studs, so that narrows it down to 01-03 since 00 didn't switch to 14mm studs until half way through the year and 99 was still 12 mm studs

00.5 changed the studs to 14mm when the 9.75 got the 10.25 bearings. If I recall just look and see if you have 14mm studs. But the build date switch is around 4/00

Yea, freaked me out at first how much they can smoke from that lol. Thought I lost an intake or head gasket. Nope, just moisture build.

Good, yea that's something you want fixed. A leak there isn't good for it and it can drive yuh sort of nuts!

Short storie about that FX,-

Goofing around and racing a a buddy at work while in indiana, he had a 97 w/4.6L (stock) , he got a windshield full of my exhaust. Got to the job he says, just wanted to let you know your truck really smoked at first, couldn't see! Do you do that on purpose? Said it real innocent like tho, - cracked me up. Then I looked over at his truck , - his wipers were still on. Good Times.

Mann, I bet a 4valve could give a vehicle a High Speed rinse, if it were in the right spot at the right time

Went to move the truck out of the garage and it went into "limp mode" or "fail safe mode" , can't recall which it is but #4, #5,#6 and #8 read misfire.

Haven't had a a chance to look at it yet, from what I recall, I either blew fuse #25/35, -or the trans is too low...iduno, the over drive switch isn't blinking, BUT the airbag light remains illuminate. Haven't looked for trans codes. So, those are all just guesses thus far. It may be all of the above lol.

EDIT: Oh, both doors are removed, but I'm not sure that has anything to do with it. This vehicle doesn't share the PATS like the 99 150's or 98 Nav's and Expy's, so no blinking lights or gauge sweeps.

I think that's all I noticed or came to mind troubleshooting for about 10 minutes lol.

Guess I'll look around on the net, since I have a little time; - perhaps my owners for the fuse directory, - to confirm the correct fuse to pull for now.

Is that fuse the one under the hood?
