Transmission issues in the 03. TC is shuddering, and beginning to slip on the 1-2 shift when warm.

Pretty sure i got you all beat. Put in my replacement camry engine. It runs but knocks like a ****. Think both the original and replacement engine have some bottom end damage. Got the original engine taken apart and it looks to be catastrophic failure of rod bearings. Heads look salvageable, hopefully same can be said for the block. Im thinking the crankshaft may be trash.

Instead of buying another used engine I may just rebuild a Frankenstein 5sfe engine.

Hopefully this replacement engine has bent valves or skipped timing so i can just pop on good heads.

No warranty? Even most salvage yards have at least a 30 - 90 day on engines. Still sucks having to pull it again though...

Nothing. Bought it off a guy on Craigslist for 450. I may return it through his window. If he won't give me money back. I know where he lives and he said the engine would work and had no issues

I feel for you man. That's bad business. Want me to FedEx him some stinky dog poo? But really, he needs to issue you a refund.
