i have a question for you guys. At this point its just a dream but its a dream ive been building since i got the truck three years ago, so if i have things my way it WILL happen lol. So heres my question, can you run wet nitrous with a twin screw supercharger? im more worried about the fuel itself going through the blower and damaging seals etc. than i am the nitrous itself. id like to run about a 75 shot and maybe push it to 125 or 150 shot for the strip. i have a 5.4

Unless you have a few grand sitting around for the build, its gonna be a while until you can find a lightning s/c if thats the route you want. Youre gonna have to piece it together and basically live on then lightning forums to find the parts you need before they get sold out from under you.
Or buy a whipple set up.
Or buy a donor lightning.
Those are your options lol or you can just build it ready for boost and then throw boost at it later on.
A lightning swap would be a lot cheaper than a Whipple. I did mine with tune for 2500. I did almost steal my blower set up but with the age of these trucks getting up, you could find things cheap.
I did live in the Lightnings boards, but that's not a bad thing, you will learn a lot.
I will have a low mileage ported eaton, ported plenum, and a few other intake parts for sale soon. Also will have injectors for sale too. Putting a Whipple on a HD and will be selling the stock parts.

Or...LTs to 2.25" Duals going into a dual in/dual out muffler with a built in crossover, then dumping lightning style infront of the rear tire.
You 4v people are sticking with your manifolds right?

I miss read what you were saying. The response in bold is how the would do it.
2.5" From the manifolds/headers to atleast 18" after the y-pipe, 3" from there back is fine. The exhaust has cooled down enough that it wont be effected.
It does but, but a cammed 5.4 isnt going to move enough air to fill a 3" correctly.
You dont want to run smaller than 2.5" on the primary pipes coming of the headers if you go L/T's. It will boost the bottom end but will start to restrict the engine severely in the mid to upper rpm's. It would be compounded even worse when boost was added.

Ok. Build for boost, NA for now. I'm going to research some sizes but will probably look at a 16cc dish for now on the pistons and that should be capable for both setups. Thanks
