$520 for decking, & install of new guides and seals. Parts, not included. ...this is why my builds were always over budget, lol. It's almost cheaper to buy new heads.

Looks like I'll be doing manual labor again.

Why not replace the valves too? I paid around 350 for a valve job and resurface and install of new valves springs and seals on a 32valve lol

Maybe if you call you can specify you want a head without time serts? If you are spending that much money I can't imagine the company not trying to get one with factory threads

I turned my earballs off the moment he said $260 a head for the basics. Virginia is one of the worst states I've ever lived in when it comes to labor, taxes and buying guns. Everything here is just outrageous.

Just depends on the County. When I was shopping for a. 243 here in Chesapeake where I live the prices where crazy. But, when I went to my grandparents in Halifax county about 3 hours straight west of here, the prices were so much lower (around $50). But they also live in a very very small town In the middle of no where. Prices on the peninsula is even worse than here in Chesapeake.

They had gas at 1.96 a gallon earlier this summer over in Halifax. It happens every summer over there, there is always a gas war

I would hope so but most businesses don't work like that
