Did you use head studs?

As far as detonation; no problems with a good tune on 9.5 static

I'm running right at 9.3 with compound boost. Built a little bit, but detonation still is detrimental.

As long as you get a good tune and stay around 10-12lbs I don't see any issues. Just get 93 + lol

Wildcat racing in Cecil, Ga. Mike the machinist is an awesome guy. Builds some bad *** drag and circle track motors. I went with Falcon h - beams and sealed power coated skirt hypers. And yes, I run nothing but 93 in it even now LOL. I think I may go ahead and stud the heads when I tear down for the charger. Also a fresh timing set while I'm at it. I'm looking at probably spring before I can get everything together.

You got that right. Lol. Usually go swimming every Christmas eve. and there are a lot of swamps. Really big bogs around here. My 37 ' s are tiny compared to many other trucks in the area.

I've only seen snow twice in my life. It's cold, slippery and icky. And my truck has no rust on it in 15 years.

Damn... I installed my old 4R70 when it was -8 here last year december.

Not really too north, just elevation is about 5K so that doesnt help.
Gets to mid 90's during summer and -15 in january.. Fall is perfect 60-65 during september and early october. Usually starts snowing around halloween

Whew, bet it was hard grasping anything in those temps. It's bad enough when I'm repairing walk in freezers at work. They usually run 0 to -20. Ever try to hold a ratchet in your mouth at below 0? Doesn't work out as planned.....
