Like maybe going air born? LOL. Probably more driver error and other parts failure than the u-joints. Sorry Jackedup.
I broke one shaft hill climbing,I lost traction and stomped it and it just rolled down the hill next to me lol

You need to build a dune buggy brother. Tow it to where you play and raise some cain. LOL Old F150's not built for that.

Once the new motor is in I'm keeping it out of mud. I'll still play on dirt roads, trails etc but nothing to dirty up the engine bay. Then after paint its street only,I'm gonna get a mud truck on at least 44s,probably closer to 52s

Putting new L motor in. Removed old, installed new and was driving down the street in 9hrs goin to parts store twice and eatting one. I did have a lot of the long block stripped down before we started thou.

Had to put stock tires on and flatten them in order to get the truck low enough to get the engine over the grill.

Just trying to get a better idea on what i can get away with lol. Do you recall how much rwhp you made? I'm at high altitude with effectively 32.5 tires, so got that in my favor. My tune is spot on but i damn near make a prayer evey time i go WOT.

Still reading through the most recent posts, but i got a 1600-1800 stall with my new transmission. Feels like it's a tad bit higher speed than stock but i really like it. Very Streetable and would probably tow fine. I did have to adjust my tune a bit.
