Got my new heat exchanger fans installed. It seemed to drop temps by about 20 - 25 degrees. I tested it today in white knuckle bumper to bumper traffic for over an hour. Ambient was about 84 degrees, IAT2 never rose above 120, trans temps stayed around 170. ECT was around 180. I still choose to use the heater at points, mostly to keep ECT's down. I don't want to pop a head-gasket or put extra heat on the engine. But I'm guessing if i patch up my fan shroud and drop in a better radiator i can run this thing in traffic for hours with the AC on. I'll probably get a better switch later too. Maybe one of these panels:

I haven't yet but they will definitely play a part. The charger will go on this so I can get all the bugs worked out
Edit: The exhaust shops around here won't touch mine since it won't have cats. "If it had cats from the factory, then it has to legally leave their shop with functioning emissions"

Bahaha that's a bunch of b.s. I have the catted version of OBX and im not even sure if it'd pass emissions still. The exhaust smells more than before, but at least i was able to bolt that sucker up no problem. I wonder if you could just go to an exhaust shop in an emissions exempt area.

Well that makes no sense. Wonder if the shop just doesn't wana deal with the nightmare install lol. I know shops around here which are inside emissions controlled areas who will gladly remove your cats for the right price, plus they know you will be back in a few months once you fail emissions lol

I think they're just trying to make more $$ off of ya. Put the headers on it and drive down to S. Ga. I'll get it done. What do they do when a vehicle comes in with no exhaust? They're like **** on a bull. Useless.
