They should be able to tell you if you drive up to the store.

On advance autos website it says they don't fit a 97 f150 with a 5.4 but it has the same amount of threads and looks almost the exact same as the spark plugs it says do fit a 97 f150 with a 5.4.

That's why I came here to ask. Plus they're both the same heat range and all that. All the specs for both plugs I looked at (this one (sp479) and one that their website said fit a 97) were the same besides this one being an iridium and the other being a FineWire or something like that.

Its not going to make a huge difference between spark plugs. As long as they are new and are working properly that's all you really need. As far as the part number, I have no idea.

I always go to the store and look at the options they have that say they will fit my truck. I bought motorcraft plugs that way for my engine and haven't had any problems.

I mean they're both Motorcraft plugs, it's just I don't know if I should get the sp479 or the other ones which I think are sp458 or something like that, I'd have to double check to be sure. And I kinda want to know what the difference between the two is

What gasket material should I use for the egr? The mounting surface and the egr valve itself were leaking during the smoke test so I'll be deleting the system this weekend

Wouldn't exhaust gasket paper work well for that?
