Yeah Ibd, at what point does your cast block become the weak point. Just call up your neighborhood machinist, "I need a 5.4 spec block cut out of a single block of steel"

Haha he is a huge mopar man. He has 10 or so 440 blocks bored over to 500+ cubic inches with N/A engines pushing 1500+ . I would say he has 50 customers from all over the country with their blocks in his shop. He is crazy smart when putting enginges together. One of my rods were about .05% off in tolerance and he send it back to oliver and in 3 days I had a new rod. Very particular guy with the right tools.

He made fun of me with my poor lil 5.4. He said I should be fine with the cross bolted mains and arp 2000's.. He runs L19's but I wont be putting over 220k psi on them like he does.

He has a neon that runs in the low 7's and quite a few full size roadrunners and other mopars he runs 8.3's with. His son races in the funny car divison at bristol, so I have seen some $5000 oliver billet rods at his shop. All he uses is diamond pistons on his stuff. Have seen his 20 year old son win best reaction time for about 2 months straight. I guess doing it for 40 years will give you a name like that.

Before I get any more parts, I'm getting the gears done. Single most important thing I need before the charger goes on.

37's and going with 4.56's. I was going to go with 4.88's, but I still want a little highway leg.
