That's a 5.3 stroker from a 4.6. They are legit. Never ordered anything but have been all over the site.

I'll see what he says about bolts.

And what would you guys consider "optimal" CR? I know stock is 8.99 so could get by with 9.64 with also adding boost?

I've never been so wishy washy about how to build a Mod motor. Trucks are a strange new world for me.

My SCREW's a little bitch towing a 28 footer and I'm trying to find the happiest spot for Towing ability and my own sanity. The 4v is a wash since I won't get anymore Tq than I have now without raising the powerband. (I'm saving that for the Cobra next year.) If I would have known my wife wanted to start RV camping and Boating I would have bought a new Diesel but this is where I'm at now.

I think I'm going with 9.6-10.1 compression, mild head work, 24# injectors to have more tuning in the top range, MPH Torquer cams and OBX shorties.

I may end up caving on the blower next year if I can't get the feel of towing performance I want.

I've only towed the 28 footer once this year and it's my only experience towing with a little truck. I really wish there were more "quality" diesel conversions out there to mimic.

..just ranting in your thread.

Well I was looking for a lightning but theres a sweet 2002 mustang GT roller that crossed my path. Went ahead and bought it. Shes getting the 5.4 4V. So I regret I must sell my blower...if anyone knows anyone. No I will not put it in the mustang and be "that" guy lol
