If youre buying a 14 why not just get the 5.0 in that? It wouldnt be a bad idea but it would be a very complex swap. Not just a plug and play thing. May have to ask in the 04-08 section not many of us are knowledgeable when it comes to 3vs.

97 short block forged crank and 100000 miles stock pistons from npi till new years that say I can drive it as a pi top end npi short block seem kinda silly to rip apart a sound short block forged crank to swap pistons the whole thing needs to be balanced and will make better sence to get gaskets and put my pi heads on and I. Can finish in few days that way I can get h beams and forged slugs in tax time rebuild that's for your advise I see too many times person asks for help then gets upset not what they wanted to hear I'm just gonna have truck back months faster then I will know how much just pi swap was worth not just throwing two running 5.4 s in can and replace everything ? It was a fast npi truck so should be faster pi swap npi short block then forged bullet after new years but for now I need it to drive asap so I keep u guys posted thanks again

What's a good price on a used 5.4 from the junk yard? I don't really care if it runs or not just as long as the heads and block are there. I have heard anywhere from 200-1200. Could someone give me a more specific price? I would love to pick one up and rebuild it over the next year or two
