Awesome. I should be good then. Cross that off the list. I really dont need much else for my build. Just need those friggin heads back.

Anyone throwing a blower manifold on:

Just a note, your oil pan bolts are the exact same thread and size. Just order a set of 10 buck oil pan studs from modmax and use your oil pan bolts M8x1.25 to mount the manifold. Should save you 5 buck per bolt if using OEM.

Melded piston!

38's do change things up a bit, - even more so when geared properly lol.

I realize it was detonating, was the tune lean and rich in the wrong areas,- for the track? Strange, the piston almost looks dented from the top view. Haven't seen one quite like it.

I really have no clue. At the time I blamed it on injectors but now that I think about it the tune was prolly the issue no dent just a 03 5.4L N/A piston.

Would you suggest using a reg heat exchanger with a custom Efan pair or a custom pkg that incorporates them from the factory?

If that were the case you could run an extra 42' of intake piping and see an extra 1000 HP. And yes, I meant 42 feet. LOL

Either is good.

H/E's don't do much for drag racing. There not enough time for it to actually cool.

I had a single pass AFCO H/E with dual 8"(IIRC) EFans wire to be on all the time.

Honestly the best thing would be spend the money on a J&S Vampire Timing Retard System. It monitors detonation and can retard timing automatically. I'll be installing one on a full bolt on Whippled @ 15# stock block HD in a few weeks
I'll be sure I take pics. Engine Builders talk.-image-2192514920.jpg Engine Builders talk.-image-3566220378.jpg

JJ@WMS tunes it. With one revision it was spot on! Very very impressed with JJs tuning ability! Had a Rick@Amazon tune before the Whipple and the owner never thought it was what it should have been that's why he switched and is happy he did.

That is a 03 with 24K miles. I have done every single mod to it. It is very nice to have the chance to build such a nice truck without the owner saying well I don't have money for the good stuff, let's do this instead. Makes my job a lot easier when he gets the best from jump street!

From what I gather, the L's and HD's don't come with knock sensors, correct? How would the knock sensor play into effect on mine & Jfergs builds going from N/A to charged? When they tune it, do the delete the sensor electronically or is it implemented in the tune? 4x4dave may know also.
