Default Engine Blew.

Well the engine in my 97 finally decided to bite the bullet and call it quites. 354,000 i got out of the original engine though. But now its time for a new one and was just woundering. Will the 99+ PI 4.6 engines replace my engine directly? Just curious if there is any changes in the engine other then the heads that would complicate things.

A 99 will bolt in but you will have to get the PCM form it along with a wiring change [minor] because of the way the engine temp is read. I would contact a local tuner for more details. If you get a 01 up it will work with your coil packs even though it has COPs.
