On my 2000 F-150 the doors are not unlocking when I use the remote, or the button on the door that unlocks both door from the inside. I have the original battery in the truck, but it's not having any problem starting the truck, so I don't think thats the problem. Any bodyelse have this problem?

WOW, 9 years on a battery. That awesome. Don't think the battery new or old is the problem. Check out this site, will help now and in the future.

if its both the switch and remote that wont unlock the doors then its a bad connection. can you unlock with the other door switch? it could also be a relay.

i got the same problem with my 1999 but some times when i push the button it works, and when i rev a little and push the button it works most of the time

You guys gotta change the batteries in the REMOTES once in a while too you know! LOL...If the doors work with the door buttons but not the remotes change the remote batteries.

edit: I see now that you have trouble either way...so scratch my advice above...my bad reading skills! Check the fuse for the door locks?

A few years ago I had the same problem in my 2000. All I had to do was replace the actuators inside the door panel and they work perfectly now.

I have the same problem with my 97...The remote unlocks the driver side with one push of the unlock button but it takes up to 4 pushes to unlock the passenger side..Also on the inside I cant use the lock/unlock button to lock or unlock the doors..power window buttons and everything else works fine.

I have the same problem with my 2005 Lariat Supercrew. However, the remote will unlock all four doors, but will not lock any of them. The buttons to unlock on both sides will not lock any doors?
Process of elimination:
1) If key fob will unlock it should not be the problem
2) If all the doors unlock it should not be the actuators
3) Neither door buttons will lock, but will unlock?????

Recently replaced the battery in the truck.

05 F150 KR. Doors will unlock with the key fob, but not unlock. Everything else works - remote starter, unlock, panic, door switches.

Any ideas?
