Default Egr issues and engine miss

I have a 97 ford f150 w/4.6 v8. I keep getting EGR codes and have replaced all the egr parts and cleaned the tube to the exhaust and the port the egr valve attaches to at the throtle body. I erase the codes and they return. Also, the engine has developed a rather severe miss and the only codes I get are EGR codes. Any Ideas on what might be the solution.

what codes are you getting? If its insufficent flow then you will have to clean the passages where the throttle body attaches to the intake, they fill with carbon thru the whole passage, the only way to clean it is to take the thottle body off and clean them from the inside. As far as the miss,if the passages are clear, then the egr itself might be sticking open, or the dpfe sensor might be bad and throwing a code, but it wont cause a miss.

Thanks, I have not taken the Throtle Body off. I have replaced all the other parts. I guess that is next weeks project.
