Drop exhaust to remove transmission?
2000 XLT, 2 wheel drive, 4.6L, manual transmission.
Do I need to drop the exhaust to get the transmission out? Those exhaust bolts are looking pretty bad and I'm really not in the mood to fight with them, and I don't have a torch to cut them off if they don't cooperate. It looks like you can unbolt the tranny, slide it back a little and then drop the front down first.
