Default driver side window creaks loudly when going up or down

Like the title says. It just started today. Also for some reason the inside of the window is getting scratched. Took door panel off to inspect. Can't tell where the sound is coming from. Also took off the inner weather strip deal with the felt like stuff that contacts the window and cleaned it. I hate little quirks like this. Do the tracks need some lube or is the regulator going out

Sure is! I thought your name looked familiar! lol

The 07 ranger is gone, wanted something bigger.

And what exactly do you mean by window run?

Oh for the scratches? Don't want it smearing on the window though.. And as far as the creaking, it does with or without that piece in there.

Take the door panel off and lube the regulator...and it won't smear on the glass....I had to do it to my ranger all the time

Lol it's easy to lube them up...just get some white lithium and spray the slider on the regulator

Well I cleaned the rubber strip, should prevent any other scratching for now. Not sure what brought it on all of a sudden. But I lubed everything I could reach and it's still creaking pretty loudly. Not a huge issue, but again. little stuff like that drives me crazy.
