Thanks for the responses. I think I'm going to hold off on the cross drilled rotors and just look for some higher quality ones. I'm looking into the Napa ones Octane mentioned...suggestions on others? Any recommendations for the pads?

I have EBC green stuff pads on my truck, and Cragar cross drilled slotted cryogenically treated rotors, and they made a world of difference going from replacement rotors and ceramic pads to the organic EBC's and the upgraded rotors. I think the pads and rotors together totaled me around 6 or 7 hundred, but you may as well spend the extra money for the rotors. Since they are cryogenically treated, Cragar claims that they will last twice as long as conventional rotors and operate at up to 200 degrees cooler than conventionals.

The rotors expel the gasses nicely, and with those pads, it seems like the warmer they get, the stickier they become.
