Installing LED Tailgate Light Bar
I have a Pacer Outback F5 LED tailgate bar, I've been trying to install it, but I've run into a few problems, and I need some assistance.
There are 3 NECESSARY connections that need to be made for the entire system to work: a 12V continuous (easy), the 4-pin trailer hitch (easier), and the white back-up light.
I got my tail light off just fine, but for the back-up light there are 2 wires. Wondering which one is the one I'm supposed to tap into.
They're both wrapped together in black tape, and my truck is a '99, so its dirty as . On one I could barely make out a purple stripe?
Thanks.
PS: I've tried using JUST the trailer hookup, but all it does is give me running lights. I need the continuous and back-up for the bar to work correctly.
Thanks

So I had it installed by "Professionals".
It took them 3 hrs and they had to look up a couple wiring diagrams
So ya. 1999 F-150 and a tailgate LED strip that needs 12v continuous and the white backup?.......take it to the shop.
TURN SIGNALS:
BACKING UP:
I had to take the pic with flash on...cuz the white was so bright
Thanks for the help guys!
