i live down a gravel road and when going down it, my door shakes like it is about to come open down the road, ive already taken it to the shop to have it fixed, but its starting to do it again, they said it was the strike plate that had to be adjusted?

yeah just loosen of the two screws in the striker and should be able to tap it in with a hammer.

mine does the same thing. mine rattles and shakes all the time. i think the latch is wore out.

Check the hinges also. make sure they aint wore out

my hinges are good. i think its the latches.

what is the strike plate? the thing on the door jam or the door latch thingy

Alright. There is supposed to be a poly bushing around your strike bolt, your latch isnt worn out. Its like $4 for a set of bushings from orielly's. I just fixed mine. It bothered me to. It takes a hex bit to get it out. I unscrewed it, slipped it on, and put back on. I even placed it a little higher than before to make my body lines match up perfect. Just play with it a bit to adjust it.
