They do still make them, I have been considering whuch to buy and wantes to know how much would need to be cut to fit a 7 inch screen? If isn't too much then I would be alright with it but has anyone tried the 6.2 inch screen? Would that size fit better?

I had mine done by best buy I believe at the end of June. They trimmed the upper lip behind the dash cover. It's an extremely tight fit but there is no gap. The only dash kit they had to use was the trim piece that surrounds the stereo to keep it from falling out

Back in 04 I had a DDX7015 installed in my 03 it was the first DD Kenwood made, was actually the first one the shop had gotten in from Kenwood. I can't remember what size it was but it fit perfect!!

Yes the bezel was painted DSG, along with window switch bezel, interior handle cups, amp panel inside my console, Clarion TV mount and top plate on the Expo center console and inserts of my speaker box.
As for the A/C, my truck came with it. It was 03 Lariat FX4. There was a member on the Lightning forum that did the digital A/C controls conversion and it was ALOT of work and in the end said it wasn't worth all the work.
