It is 2wd and i dont think there is any differences in the install on 4wd. There is a bracket that is bolted to your radius arm and one to your relay rod. the shock is then bolted to the brackets. make sure you measure correctly so your shock is not pulled out too far at full steer. easy install though. My only regret is that i didnt get the dual shock kit. oh well.

Sorry Ckale, not to thread jack but I also have wondered about these.
Would there be any benefit from installing one on a stock ride height truck? I plan on adding 33's and I have tossed this idea around quite often. Its not like they're expensive so I guess there'd be no real money lost, but would I notice anything different?

Alright thats good to know. Im not sure if ill get one yet. Ive been driving for like 9 months without one and havent had problems. But i havent felt if theres a difference with a stabilizer, and i wouldnt mind making my steering stuff last as long as possible

Thought I was on one of my motorcycle forums for a minute there
When I was younger I did a lot of lifting etc on trucks. And we lifted all sorts of truck with and without dampers. Few things I've picked up on dampers:

- use the minimum damping you can for your application - it can be overdone
- check carefully what will happen to your ground clearance - some dual dampers run side by side and may reduce your clearance. And breaking one on the trail can be worse than not having one.
- check your steering gear mounting points from time to time - the added resistance as well as increase tire size may loosen things.
