It's $3.77 (Premium) at the QT in Tucker, GA. For a quick run, say for cigars, brewski or food, I'll take my '95 Caddy Seville, as it averages 19MPG (amazing considering it's a Northstar V8) as opposed to my 2WD '98 F150, which averages 14. It's not the MPGs so much, as just trying to keep about 5K additional miles a year off the truck. That old Caddy is the 3rd "shuttlecraft" I've had since I've owned this truck. It's got 142K miles on it, and if I didn't have the alternative cars, I'd be well over 200K.

Gas prices to not effect the way I drive at all. I've come to terms with the fact that I am a truck man and have to fill up more than most. After I did this to my screw I was borrowing my old mans 28 mpg Toyota echo and HATED it. I bought tis 460 (8mpg) as a project truck but mainly because I couldn't stand driving a car waiting for my screw to get out of the body shop. I'd rather drive this rusty gas guzzler than a economy car any day

seannh, I can't remember the price. I try to get it at Kroger near my house or the QT. At Kroger, you can use your bonus card and get gas cheaper. I don't mind paying the price because a truck is what I wanted, so having a large vehicle requires more gas. I'm just trying to transfer or get a job on my end so I can save a lot of money.

Warspite, yes I drive a lot of miles too, sometimes I will leave my truck at home on the GA side and bring back my husband car. Sometimes I catch 99.00 rental specials and rent a car for the weekend.

Wow! That's even better than owning an old "beater" to keep the mileage off - and you get to drive a NEW car at that! SMART!!!!!

Gas prices rarely affect the way I drive. This truck is by far the slowest most under powered ford I have ever owned so thrashing is is the ony to achieve any satisfaction from it. Really should have waited until I found a 5.4L
