I am not positive on that control module. Compare the module part number between the 5.4 and 4.6 and see if its the same. If it is then use the MOSFET chip khsonic provided.

I have this same model that you have. I used the same MOSFET chip mentioned in this post and followed all the instructions and it turned out great. Very thankful for this post because the dealer wanted to replace my entire abs pump system for $2600. I got out for under 10 bucks thanks to this.

Default abs module

I had a few questions. the module is mounted above the ABS valves on my 4.6L engine. This module is separate from the ABS manifold correct? WHat I mean is if I remove it and cover up the connectors etc I could still drive the truck until I get around cutting it open and replacing the mosfet right?

I tried finding the Mosfet on digikey with that part number but didnt have any luck. any chance its the same number? I found another one that should work with all the same specs:

my numbers on the abs cover are: LY EHCU 13352508(BARCODE)

http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/SUM90N06-4M4P-E3/SUM90N06-4M4P-E3TR-ND/2441846 This should be the link you need for the MOSFET. Yes, if you take off the control module you can still drive around. Just make sure the lower portion is covered well...otherwise debris can get into it.

hi, I just got mine off today. not as easy as you would think. 2 screws are still in block. hope they wont break off. where do you cut along to get ti the mosfet? I know it says the seam.Is that just above the large connector? Also, looks like a few of the solenoids have some rust on them.

I tried drilling them but it slipped off the bolt and broke one of the corners of the module. To be safe I attached a grinding wheel to the end of the dremel and just cut the heads off the bolt. One of the bolts broke when trying to take them out, but I'm sure 3 bolts will be enough to secure it.

I attempted this today with the attitude of I cant break something thats already broken XD. Funny how my PCB looks almost exactly what yours looked like.

Ill post a follow up post when I install everything and I'll let you guys know if it fixed everything. Also will post a list of stuff I used, including the chip I chose to install. Wish me luck!

It might be a few days until I finish this due to the fact that shipping will probably be slow since I live in Canada, but I will post a follow up.

OK, so mine isn't doing the exact same problem as the original poster, but I'll give you my trucks symptoms and see if I'm in the right place for help.

My ABS kicks on every time I stop from above 10mph. If I am under 10mph it doesn't come on. It only kicks on when I hit 10mph while braking. So for example I can be going 20mph and stopping at a light. this is what happens:

20 - braking
15 - braking
10 - ABS
5 - ABS
0 - I can still hear it running and then my brake pedal depresses further and kinda 'pops' as it depresses until the truck stops.

It makes this annoying 'ERRrRrrrnrnrnrrr' sound and then at 0mph it sounds like 'pop pop pop pop'

even when I'm not braking but have coasted to 10mph or lower i can hear the ABS running doing its 'ERRrRRrrrrnrrnnrr' thing.

If I'm at like 8mph it brakes as normal with no ABS kicking in. I have pulled the 50 amp fuse and recommend, but I'd like to fix this properly. Let me know what you guys think.
THANKS!!!
