DIY ABS Module Rebuild - ABS Pump Won't Shut Off - Issue Solved
#131
It is possible that the 2 wheel drive version module can't be plugged into the wiring harness of a 4wabs truck. I know they are different and most likely have slightly different sensors etc. That's why I have been posting that my info is only referring to the 4WABS version cause I have never seen a standard ABS version. Did you happen to note the original mosfet part number or can you still read it on the OEM part? check to make sure its compatible with the replacements we are using. Worst case , fix it, pin it out to make sure it has good connections etc and send it back for them to test in their 2 wheel drive.

I had not noted that sticker on the modules. I just went by the large top sticker. The one I have from the Expedition has these 2 number strings FF75NKV and13352807E.
I will make sure I get the numbers off my 7700 when I pull it to seal the case later this week. Here is the top label on the Expe module. It is a All Wheel Drive version

Unfortunately I did not get the number off the old chip....and now it's gone...however; my thought process is that the chip we are currently using has greater tolerances than what was originally used....ergo...this chip would probably be just fine in the 2wd version as well. I'm sending it back to him today to let him test it in his truck. Will let you know what he says. The top label has all of the info rubbed off of it so unfortunately I can't get any additional info for that model.....guess we'll see what happens. Good luck with the dryer this week!!

Ok folks, first off my apologies for not posting sooner but life has been hectic lately. I wanted to let everyone here know that the fix will work on 2wd fords as well. I heard back from the individual who's module I performed the fix on. As of about a week ago he was pleased to report that all is well and the abs is once again working as advertised! With all that being said, do not try to test or replace your control module on a 4wd truck with that of a 2wd truck. Despite it looking and fitting correctly, the 4wd truck is too much for it and will blow the mosfet chip...as I learned the hard way. The chip mentioned in this forum will work with the 2wd system though. I have one chip remaining if anyone is interested in utilizing my services. As always, if you have any questions myself and others are here to help out.

Which websites have you tried? I might still have one that I could sell you but I won't be able to check until Tues. In the meantime, keep looking around online by searching part number through Google or similar search engine. Ensure you have read all pages of this thread as well since there have been more than one place the chips were obtained from.

Bad news to report...the gentleman with the 2wd f150 just informed me that his module went out again. Go figure....perhaps a more underlying issue with that particular module or the chip just won't work on that module. Lasted a couple of weeks for him he said...then the pump started running again. Frustrating!
