Cylinder 2 misfire trouble diagnosing
Originally had a cylinder 8 misfire code, so went ahead and changed all plugs, wires, and coil pack for that side of motor , only because guy at auto parts only gave me 1 instead of both like I had asked, anyways, changed everything and ran worse than originally had, instead of it being number 8 cylinder misfiring in had moved to 5, 7, and 2. Changed plugs again and fixed 5 and 7. But 2 keeps misfiring no matter what I do, mechanic told me he figured it was the injector, so he said swap 1 and 2 and see if the misfire moves to 1, I did but it the misfire stayed on cylinder 2. Please help

Are the wires still hanging off of the plastic clips? I've seen those clips break and the resulting bad wire placement caused the insulation to melt off onto the exhaust manifolds and short the wire out

Motorcraft plugs, Omni-Spark wires, and Blue Streak ignition coils, but I ain't having anymore problems out of any of the other cylinders,, just 2 and it's nonstop, rough idle, poor acceleration, vibrates pretty good if in overdrive and pressing the gas pedal a lil harder to maintain my speed until it drops a gear and then vibrating stops. Removed plug wire and put it back on multiple times, checked that it's firing and it is and cylinder 2 has good compression, and swapped injectors around to make sure that wasn't the problem like the mechanic said to do

If it's firing and getting fuel with good compression and still misfiring something must be mechanically wrong with that cylinder.
