keys in or out, lights on or off, the door ding still goes off. How can i cut it out?

Look at the ignition...The little slider thing that opens when you put your key in is probably stuck open...Try tapping on it. If you look at it and it is closed...beats me.

Try lubing the door latch. the door side. use wd-40. Hit all the doors.

The door latch doesnt cause the dinging...Its either a light relay or the ignition key hole slot.

I had the same problem, I looked on the web and there is a little plastic peice that is grounded to your ignition switch. Use a long screwdriver to depress the little button holding the ignition switch in, turn it about half way and it should slide out. Then put a peice of tape on the wire that should be hanging there. This will stop the dinging but it wont remind you when you left your key in the ignition anymore.
