Talking Differential....

Changed the 75-140 syn fluid in my differential case this weekend..... I noticed a lot of brass filings in the old fluid.... there is a hum coming from the truck, Ive already replaced both front wheel bearings on 2001 f150 s/c with approx 149k on it.
Inside the differential case I did not see anything "brass".... anyone tell me where they think it is coming from?
Thank you!
Bill

Axle gears and spider gears both have brass colored bushing in them, everything else is roller or ball bearings.
