Default Cv Joint replacement 98 f150

Hey guys i was just wondering if anybody knew the approximate cost of getting a CV joint driver side replaced on my 98 F 150 4 ×4 4.6 motor.I would give it a shot myself but it is 19 degrees and I don't have a garage.Thanks for any help.

you'd just have to call a local shop that you trust and ask them what their rates are

I was quoted 460 through les-schwab to get both done on my '97 F-150 4x4. I always get the truck diagnosed at one shop and the work done at another for the following reason. I went to another shop thinking that price was a bit steep to install 150 dollars worth of CV's, and the second shop told me there was nothing wrong. The second shop I got to watch how they took the CV off, I would personally do them yourself.

Ya I got some prices today and found a warm garage I can use so I'm gonna give it a shot my self tomorrow thanks for the input.

Thanks everyone wound up being a wheel bearing instead, first one I did that was the whole hub.Thanks again for the help.
